Earlier at the show, Harvey, who was known for naming the wrong winner in the 2015 pageant, announced Ganados as the winner of the national costume competition with her photo flashed on the stage.

Here’s the look at the winner, Philippines,” said Harvey.Miss Malaysia was eager to make a clarification, “It’s not Philippines, it’s Malaysia.” Harvey also quickly defended himself, “Let me explain something to you. I just read that in the teleprompter. Ya’ll got to quit doing this to me. I can read.”To lighten up more the situation, Harvey praised Sekhon’s wardrobe which is inspired by the culture and heritage of the Malaysian state of Malacca.The last time Philippine won the best national costume award was in 1994, by Charlene Gonzales, where the pageant was also held in the country.
