— Raffy Sison Santos June 23, 2020 MAYNILA - Nagkasa ng clearing operation ngayong Martes ang Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group laban sa mga sasakyang nakaharang sa bike lanes sa Quezon City, na anila'y delikado sa mga siklista. Higit 10 sasakyan ang natiketan ng HPG sa kahabaan ng Quezon Avenue service road para sa kasong obstruction.Ayon kay HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Eliseo Cruz, marami silang natanggap na reklamo ukol sa mga pribadong sasakyang nakaharang sa bike lane.Pinaalalahanan din ni Cruz ang mga siklista na huwag mag-counterflow sa mga kalsada para makaiwas sa disgrasya.

Ayon sa pulisya, layunin nilang panatilihing ligtas ang mga siklista habang naglalatag ang gobyerno ng mas marami pang bike lanes sa Kamaynilaan. Dumami ang mga gumagamit ng bisikleta para marating ang kanilang destinasyon makaraang suspendihin ng gobyerno ang public transportation sa ilalim ng community quarantine guidelines, na ipinatupad para makontrol ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa bansa.

The problems of maintain bike lanes are vehicle parking, loading unloading, and standing. How about parking facilities which should include racks or bicycle parking stations. All these should be included in the plan. Hindi parang nag drawing lang.
