Olivarez said mayors in the National Capital Region (NCR) have agreed to create a technical working group to study the implementation of mandatory vaccination amid the threat of the Omicron variant of COVID-19

Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said on Thursday, Dec. 30, the Metro Manila Council will recommend the implementation of mandatory vaccination to the Inter-Agency Task Force .

Olivarez also clarified that the ordinance on COVID-19 vaccination should come from the national government.
