Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

This is due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms, it added.Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.Sunrise was at 5:32 a.m. while sunset will be at 6:14 p.m.Meanwhile, PAGASA said that the heat index could reach the ''danger'' level in 16 locations on Sunday.

In its forecast, the weather bureau said these areas may expect heat index as follows:48°C—Aparri, Cagayan47°C—Dagupan City, Pangasinan45°C—Virac , Catanduanes44°C—Laoag City, llocos Norte—Bacnotan, La Union43°C—Tuguegarao City, Cagayan—Masbate City, Masbate42°C—MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte—ISU Echague, Isabela—Casiguran, Aurora—Puerto Princesa City, Palawan—Cuyo, Palawan—Roxas City, Capiz—Dumangas, Iloilo—Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur—Cotabato City, Maguindanao...

Manila to Host 50th Edition of Metro Manila Film FestivalThe Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) executive committee (EXECOM) are set to celebrate the 50th edition of the festival in December.
