BREAKING: Metro Manila police chief PMGen Debold Sinas said the anti-illegal drug campaign Oplan Tokhang will be momentarily suspended as efforts are refocused to containing the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

The police chief of Metro Manila said Tuesday the government's anti-illegal drug campaign Oplan Tokhang will be temporarily suspended to refocus efforts on containing the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

[Translation: Oplan Tokhang will not be active for the meantime. We are momentarily silent on that. Because our focus now is the quarantine.] Sinas said alleged pushers will not be able to access illegal drugs due to the strict home quarantine.[Translation: Let’s give them a chance for now. Because if you are inside your house, you will not get any supply.]

Oplan tokhang is a runaway policy that is now use as a tool for abuses!

Please stop spreading this kind of information so as not to invite those who might be taking advantage of the situation. Police force may be able to roam the streets but you can’t monitor what goes on in every condominium buildings/compounds. Let’s not add more to this crisis.
