Metro Manila mayors lean towards extending GCQ

MANILA - Most mayors in the Philippine capital region are in favor of extending the general community quarantine in August, the chairman of Metro Manila Council said Wednesday.

Olivarez said the local chief executives would be pushing for more localized lockdowns, which he said had been effective in arresting the spread of the virus. "Alam naman natin na hirap na hirap na ang taong bayan pero we couldn't prejudiced 'yung health protocol para nga malabanan itong COVID-19," he said.

Metro Manila, the country's epicenter of the virus, has recorded 45,969 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began, data from the Department of Health as of July 28 showed.

Wala naman kwenta kahit magpa-super mega lockdown kayo kung wala naman mass testing at matinong contact tracing. Useless yang punyetang quarantine na yan.

Ibalik sa MECQ ang NCR kpag wala cilang concrete plans; ibalik ang qauarantine pass doon at higpitan borders, nakakabahala ang virus jan sa NCR

Its about time, Duterte has to exercise his authority and decide what is the best for the Filipino People, its about his leadership not the IATF, businessman and LGU to decide.He is the leader not this self serving folks.
