"Mabibigyan din ng panahon ang ating health cluster upang matutukan ang patuloy na case finding and surveillance at pagpapagaling ng mga COVID-19 patients," ayon sa pabatid ng provincial government sa kanilang Facebook page. Nauna nang sumailalim sa enhanced community quarantine ang Batanes sa kasagsagan ng pagtaas ng mga kaso ng COVID-19 na halos pumalo sa 500 noong Setyembre.Ang magandang balita naman, bumaba ang naitatalang mga bagong kaso habang marami na rin ang recovery o gumaling sa sakit.
Sa tala ng Oktubre 18, nasa 238 ang aktibong kaso o kasalukuyang may COVID-19 kung saan 4 dito ay bagong kaso. Nakapagtala rin ng 37 na gumaling sa sakit nitong Lunes.Mamamahagi naman ng mga gamot gaya ng paracetamol at antihistamine gayundin ng vitamins ang provincial government sa mga residente.
