The call for localized lockdowns, instead of placing entire regions or cities under strict quarantine, continues to gain support.

In a Zoom meeting yesterday, Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion led mayors, officials leading the fight against COVID-19, and business organizations in pushing for localized lockdown to enable economic activities to continue.

The private sector through the efforts of T3, Project ARK, has supported the government in increasing the testing capacity of the country,” Concepcion added. Lorenzana, meanwhile, echoed Rep. Janette Garin’s assertion of finding a way to co-exist with the virus while a vaccine has yet to be discovered.
