Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto is aiming for 30,000 scholars in the city per year until 2025.
Sotto, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, Dec. 21, said the city government now has 20,000 scholars for school year 2022 from 12,000 in 2019.Sotto said students who got a 90 grade average or higher may qualify for the scholarship. There are also special slots for students in private schools. The city has recorded 509 new scholars in elementary with at least 92.00 GA; 675 for junior high school with 91.50 GA, 756 for senior high school with 92.00 GA, and 1,980 for college with 1.57 GA.

Govt better keep an eye on what those scholarships go into. We wouldn't want more Pol Sci and Soc Sci to replenish forces lost to ELCAC 😉 Let's keep it on actual sciences or business related courses that are pragmatic and badly needed like engineering.
