The municipal government of Pateros began administering booster shots to A2 and A3 priority groups on Nov. 22.

Pateros Mayor Miguel “Ike” Ponce III said the municipal government has started giving COVID-19 booster shots to senior citizens and persons with comorbidities , and non-residents can avail of the medical service.Vaccination in Pateros

In addition, according to the mayor, Pateros residents who got their primary vaccine in another local government unit or abroad can get their booster shots in the municipality. The Department of Health earlier announced that after healthcare workers, people under A2 and those immunocompromised A3 only will be given booster shots and third dose starting Nov. 22.

Immunocompromised is someone who has a “weakened immune system,” according to the US National Cancer Institute.
