Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte approved on Saturday, April 29, an ordinance that will provide financial grants to researchers in the city.

QCitizens who are undergraduates, and postgraduates, including professors with approved research, thesis, or dissertation proposals related to issues and concerns of the city and its people may avail of the Betty Go Belmonte Research Grant. The city government said that qualified researchers will be entitled to a maximum cash grant of P100,000, including access to all QC units and departments of the city government; support in public forum presentations; and a maximum allowance of P20,000 for books and instructional materials, P20,000 for health, insurance, and transportation, and P20,000 for printing and reproduction of the research paper.
