San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora urged his constituents to register their skills to the city’s skill registry to streamline their hiring processes in case they are looking for a job in the city amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

In his Facebook post, Zamora said that residents of Barangay Tibagan who wish to register their skills and competencies to the Public Employment and Skills Office Skills Registration may proceed to Barangay Tibagan Basketball Court on Friday, Jan. 27, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., and bring their government-issued ID and resume.

Those who cannot go to the designated schedule may proceed to the PESO on the 2nd floor of the San Juan City Hall to submit their requirements. “Ang layunin nito ay malaman namin ang inyong mga skills para kapag may mga negosyo na naghahanap mg mga empleyado ay ma-endorso namin kayo ,” Zamora said. This will make business owners and companies efficiently hire San Juaneños who are possessing the required skills for their businesses.

The initiative also aims to give applicants the city government’s recommendation as part of its San Juaneños First Policy. The city government also launched several free livelihood seminars to arm residents with the essential skills and knowledge in dress-making, electronic product assembly, and food safety, which they can use in applying for work.
