Parts of Las Piñas and Cavite may experience water service interruption starting Tuesday, August 8 as Maynilad Water Services repairs one of its treatment plants in Muntinlupa City.
“Kung makakaapekto man ito mayron pong siguro oras lamang sa labas natin. Pero as of now marami na rin tayong napalitan, somehow nahahabol natin ang pangangailangan sa labas,” said Putatan 2 Treatment Plant head Nico Bueno. “Inaabangan na kasi natin 'yung pagtaas ulit ng paglabo ng Laguna Lake. Wherein we expect it around November-December na mangyayari so kailangan natin tapusin ito. Tinatarget namin matapos ang pagpaplit ng UF membranes by November dapat matapos kami,” he added.
The water concessionaire uses a three-step method in purifying the water supply including the removal of solid silt in the raw water, filtration of solid wastes, and removal of non-organic metallic substances and viruses using UF.
