Matt said working on the series helped him cope with depression. The Sparkle actor also said that playing Big Bert helped him embrace his body type.

"Voltes V: Legacy" served as a "life-saver" for Matt Lozano amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Hindi lang dahil sa character eh, iba rin 'yung ano ng mga tao sa paligid ko na, 'Kahit mataba ka you look nice,' Because I'm happy," he added.
