During Friday's briefing, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that other countries also follow the same criteria on tagging recovered patients.

According to Vergeire,"across countries, repeat testing is no longer required."

"Katulad nga ng nasabi ko kanina, testing is basis for infection para masabi mo kung may virus ang isang tao o wala,"real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction "Para masabi mo ang tao ay recovered o hindi, hindi natin 'yan gagamitin. Kasi nga napaka-sentsitive ng RT-PCR even as long as 55 days nag pa-positive pa pero non-infectious na, wala ng sakit,", including 65,178 recoveries and 2,023 deaths. Of the total number, 26,153 are active cases.

Okay, while this may be true, the DOH must still acknowledge the fact that most, if not all, hospitals right now are at their limits already. The frontliners are getting tired. Can't the government spare them some time to recover? And they know what to do.

Balakayojan..

If that is true, how come di natin naririnig sa news na big deal sa ibang countries when they 'change the rules'? Or hindi lang ba na-re-report? Or dahil may kulang talaga with how DOH communicate whatever changes they make with how they report and 'interpret' the data?

Bigyan mo kami nang link or document gago. Wag nyo kaming gawing tanga

It doesn't mean it's right.

so if “other countries also follow” bakit ngayon lang sa pinas?

LilMsMalditaMD Doc, they should have told everyone about this in advance. May problema talaga tayo sa communications. Noon pa. Hahaha They are guidelines, not laws.
