Severe Tropical Storm Maring is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday morning, the state weather bureau said.
Maring was last located 315 kilometers west of Calayan, Cagayan. It was packing maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 125 kph. Meanwhile, Signal No. 1 remains up in the rest of Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Ifugao, Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, the northern portion of Bataan , and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands.
The weather bureau warned of scattered to widespread flooding, including flash floods, and rain-induced landslides in these areas, especially those in high risk.
