Marikina City Mayor Marcelino 'Marcy' Teodoro said on Friday that all cinemas in the city will remain closed even if Metro Manila will be placed under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) next month, the most relaxed quarantine classification.

Marikina City Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro said on Friday that all cinemas in the city will remain closed even if Metro Manila will be placed under the Modified General Community Quarantine next month, the most relaxed quarantine classification.

Teodoro said last February 15 that the city government will issue an executive order suspending the reopening of cinemas and game arcades in the city after the Inter-Agency Task Force allowed its operation amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
