Marcos wants deeper probe into 'unknown' Tarlac town mayor

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the government should thoroughly investigate Bamban Mayor Alice Guo over questions on her nationality and alleged links to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operation hubs in the province.In a media interview in Cagayan de Oro City on Thursday, Marcos bared that Guo has been under the government's radar as she was not known among local leaders.'I know all the politicians from Tarlac . No one knows her.

We then questioned if these documents are real, and how was she able to run for mayor?' he said.The President did not clarify whether this raid was the same as the one conducted on a POGO compound in Bamban.
