PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed confidence government forces will be able to dismantle all communist rebel groups by the end of 2023.

The Commander in Chief made the remark during his visit to the 803rd Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in Northern Samar over the weekend.'I was given a very encouraging deadline that we will have dismantled all of the CTG fronts by the end of the year and that is the result of your good work,' he told the troops.

'From the progress being made in Northern Samar, we are looking forward to declaring that province clear of CTGs by the end of the year,' he added.Marcos vowed full backing of his administration to the military's counterinsurgency efforts and also enjoined troops to help reintegrate rebel returnees to mainstream society.'So, that is the plan.
