MANILA, Philippines — Imbis na isuspindi lang, tuluyang ipinababasura ng progresibong ACT Teachers party-list kay Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. ang kontrobersyal na Maharlika Investment Fund .

Idinirehe ni Bersamin ang naturang memo kay Bureau of the Treasury officer-in-charge Sharon Almanza, LDP president at chief executive officer Lynette Ortiz at DBP president at CEO Michael de Jesus. Bubuuin ang capital stock ng P500 bilyon, bagay na hinati sa 5 bilyong shares sa presyong P100. Bubuuin ito ng 3.75 bilyong common shares, katumbas ng P375 bilyon, at 1.25 bilyong preferred shares .Sa kabila nito, sinabi ni House Deputy Minority leader at Rep. France Castro na tila minadali at "flawed" ang desisyon ni Bongbong na suspindihin ang pagpapatupad ng batas.

Paliwanag daw kasi ng Bayan Muna, nakaaalarma na mailalagay sa alanganin ang fiscal health ng mga naturang financial institutions dahil sa pagkahumaling sa ideya ng pagtatayo ng sovereign wealth fund. Mayroon pang 131 overseas Filipino sa Gaza na naghihintay na makatawid sa Egypt para mabigyan ng kaukulang tulong ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas at mapabalik ng bansa.
