MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has signed a measure to convert the Municipality of Carmona into a component city of Cavite province. According to the Presidential Communications Office, Marcos signed Republic Act No. 119381 on Feb. 23.Incumbent elective officials of Carmona will continue to exercise their powers and functions “until such time that a new election is held and the duly elected officials shall have already qualified and assumed their offices.”
