President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday met with officials of the Department of Health to discuss COVID-19 and the government's response to the disease, Malacañang has said.

In a radio interview, DOH officer in charge Undersecretary Ma. Rosario Vergeire said Marcos and the health officials discussed the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases and the current alert level system. According to Radio Television Malacañang, also present at the meeting were Health Assistant Secretary Charade Mercado-Grande of the DOH-Health Regulation Team and Director Alethea de Guzman of the DOH-Bureau of Epidemiology.

Presidential Management Staff Secretary Maria Zenaida Angping joined Marcos in meeting the health officials.
