President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said he will be spending Holy Week the way he usually did -- rest.In an interview with reporters in Bataan, the President said he will be spending Holy Week with his family."I go into retreat for a few days, and then I'll spend Easter with my family," he added., saying they have been working on measures for quite some time now.

"We have to make everybody-- make sure that everybody's comfortable that they can get to where they want as quickly as possible," he said.With this, Malacañang issued Memorandum Circular No. 16 on Friday, March 31, declaring a half-day work day on April 5, Wednesday, for government workers under the Executive Branch.

The move, which suspends work in the Executive Department from 12 p.m. on Wednesday, would allow workers to prepare for the Holy Week holidays, particularly the long weekend from April 6 to April 10. However, agencies whose functions involve delivering basic and health services, preparedness or response to disasters and calamities, and performing other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.
