Senator Imee Marcos on Friday apologized for her remarks on Development Communication as a field of study.
During the Laging Handa briefing, Marcos was asked if she wanted to clear her name after calling Devcom “cute and archaic” during the Senate budget hearing of the Presidential Communications Operations Office on Tuesday.[Translation: I apologize. Things were heating up that time.] Marcos was pertaining to the time when she asked Ramon Cualoping, the director general of the Philippine Information Agency , about the proposed budget allocation of PIA's Devcom program. PIA is an agency under PCOO.
When told about Devcom's signficance as a field of study, Marcos replied: “I really would like to understand the nitty gritty of this Development Communication program because it is so old-fashioned. It is sort of cute and archaic.”
Stop appologizing Senator. People need to toughen up.
