The Manila Cathedral announced on Thursday that it will be extending its assistance to those who wish to transfer their weddings to the cathedral following the eruption of Taal volcano last Sunday.

“For weddings scheduled in January and February 2020 in the Cavite and Batangas area affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano, we are extending assistance to those who wish to transfer their wedding to the Manila Cathedral,” the Manila Cathedral said in a Twitter post.

The announcement was made after they received calls and inquiries about the “transfer of weddings affected by the Taal Volcano eruption in Batangas and Cavite areas to the Manila Cathedral.” Interested couples may visit the Manila Cathedral Office, open Tuesday to Saturday at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said Alert Level 4 remains hoisted over Taal Volcano, warning about a possible hazardous explosive eruption within hours or days.
