A 21-year-old man from Barangay Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City is the newest confirmed Covid-19 case in the city.

A 21-YEAR-OLD male from Barangay Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City is the newest confirmed case of coronavirus disease in the city after he was tested positive on Friday, May 1, for Sars-CoV2, the coronavirus which causes the disease.

Rocha said he had undergone surgery for injuries in his spinal cord on April 21. On April 22, the family of the 21-year-old decided to transfer the patient to a private hospital where he was swabbed after acquiring pneumonia. Because of this, the NMMC decided to transfer eight patients from the surgical intensive care unit to the Emerging Re-emerging Infectious Disease ward as precautionary measure, Rocha said.
