MARAWI CITY – Senator Christopher Lawrence Bong Go formally launched the Malasakit Center at Amai Pakpak Medical Center last Friday, February 21, in Marawi City.

Presidential Assistant for Visayas secretary Michael Lloyd D. Dino handed over a P5million cheque to APMC chief Dr. Shalimar Sani Rakiin during the launching of Malasakit Center friday. The Malasakit Center is a one-stop-shop where indigent patients can easily access and process financial and medical assistance through different government agencies, Philhealth, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and Department of Social Welfare and Development in one place.

Marawi Mayor Majul Gandamra acknowledged that his city was one of the beneficiaries since this Malasakit center became a law. Dr. Shalimar Sani Rakiin, chief of Amai Pakpak Medical Center said she was confident that her dream that APMC will be able to serve all its patients without the need of out-of-pocket payment upon discharge will now become more sure and clearer with the establishment of the Malasakit Center.“In behalf of APMC and our dear patients, we are truly thankful of your presence today and for bringing to us a Malasakit Center.
