Luzon grid on red, yellow alert on April 23—NGCP

The Luzon grid was placed under red and yellow alert status on Tuesday, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines . In an advisory, the NGCP said a red alert will be hoisted over the Luzon grid from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. It also raised the yellow alert from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10:00 p.m. to 12 midnight. The available capacity in Luzon is 12,832 megawatts against an expected peak demand of 12,671 MW.
