Luigi Trillo relishes 1st-ever PBA title

LUIGI Trillo is back at the PBA 'Mount Olympus' just 11 years after winning his first league title as a head coach.And for Trillo , what's even more gratifying is the fact that he got a chance to be at the forefront of Meralco's first-ever PBA championship since the team joined the pro league in the 2010-11 season.

The coaching staff also helping each other out,' Trillo recalled during those times when Meralco was still trying to figure out what they need to do to get over the hump.'We were challenging the guys, and there was character all around. Credit to the players for rising up because it takes a lot to get out of that hole,' stressed the Meralco mentor, who had active consultant Nenad Vucinic as his partner in giving the Bolts their breakthrough championship as a franchise.
