Enforcers of the Land Transportation Office have apprehended five taxi drivers for allegedly refusing to convey passengers during separate operations in Pasay City.
He said the operation was in response to the complaints of commuters regarding picky taxi drivers who also overcharge passengers. Verzosa said refusal to convey passengers is in violation of the Joint Administrative Order No. 2014-01. The penalty for refusal to render service to the public or convey passenger to destination” ranging from P5,000 up to P15,000.
