THE state weather bureau is monitoring a low pressure area last tracked over Eastern Samar as the other LPA west of Puerto Princesa City has dissipated.'It dissipated at 2 a.m. today while the other LPA was spotted around 10 a.m.,' according to weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.In his 11 a.m. advisory, Aurelio said the weather disturbance was estimated at 340 kilometers east-northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar or 420kms east of Catarman, Northern Samar.

Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate with at times heavy rains may prevail over Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Dinagat Islands and Bucas Grande Island due to the LPA, the state-run weather agency said.It said Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Palawan, Northern Samar, Samar and Eastern Samar will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA and shear line, a narrow zone that has a parallel horizontal wind component.
