"Ang maganda po nito kung meron na tayong local manufacturing mas magiging sustainable at tuloy-tuloy po ang supply ng ating kits," Health Undersecretary and FDA director-general Eric Domingo told radio DZMM. Of the initial batch of 120,000 test kits, 26,000 will be bought by the government and distributed to public laboratories, officials earlier said.
If that is so, let us support the producers of the local test kits like the UP-NIH. Not only are their test kits cheaper but the country saves precious foreign exchange and deploying them will be easier and faster. Also good support for local science and technology.
