Carlos Yulo avenged his unfortunate sixth-place crash in the SEA Games pommel horse event with a golden comeback in the still rings competition.

Vietnam scored another gold after a 14.400 finish from Ngoc Xuan Thieng Dang, while Malaysia locked the silver and bronze thanks to the efforts of Fu Jie Tan and Muhammad Sharulaimy .Filipino-American gymnast Aleah Finnegan won her second career SEA Games gold medal after ruling the women’s vault event with a score of 13.133.Carlos Yulo cruised to his second SEA Games gold medal in Vietnam after defending his gold medal in floor exercise with a score of 15.

The 22-year-old Olympian is now the Philippines’ second multiple gold winner after Kim Mangrobang achieved the feat earlier in the day.Kim Mangrobang became the Philippines’ first multiple gold winner in Vietnam as she ruled the women’s duathlon.Wushu star Agatha Wong opened the day for the Philippines in style by retaining her gold medal in women’s taijijian.

Now a four-time SEA Games champion, Wong redeemed herself a day after failing to defend her throne in women’s taijiquan, where she was the gold winner in 2017 and 2019.
