Lipa isinailalim sa lockdown dahil sa banta ng COVID-19

BATANGAS - Isinailalim na sa lockdown nitong Martes ang buong lungsod ng Lipa bilang bahagi ng enhanced community quarantine kaugnay ng pag-iingat laban sa banta ng coronavirus disease 2019 .

Sa panayam kay Lipa Mayor Eric Africa, ibinahagi nitong bawal nang bumiyahe ang lahat ng pampublikong sasakyan gaya ng jeep, FX, tricycle, at bus.Mga pribadong sasakyan na drayber lang ang sakay ang papayagan na magtungo sa mga bukas na establisyimento gaya ng palengke, botika, grocery store, ospital at mga kainan na may-take out option lamang.Sakaling may emergency, sa barangay dapat makipag-ugnayan ang mga residente, ayon sa alkalde.

Maaari pa rin namang pumasok sa lungsod ang mga empleyado na residente ng ibang bayan at nagtatrabaho sa mga pinapayagang establisyemento. Pinag-iisipan na gawing COVID-19 building ang bahagi ng Ospital ng Lipa kahit na level 1 hospital pa lamang ito.Kooperasyon ng publiko ang nais ipabatid ni Mayor Africa sa gitna ng banta ng COVID-19.

Nananatiling isa ang kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 sa Lipa City pero mayroon itong 9 na persons under investigation at 123 na persons under monitoring.

Luzon has been under ECQ. Doesn't it follow that all regions in Luzon are also under ECQ. Why still announce that Lipa is in a lockdown?
