tv MAYNILA — Noong Martes ay naghain ng mosyon ang Office of the Solicitor General sa Korte Suprema upang pagbawalan ang ABS-CBN at mga personalidad nito na magsalita tungkol sa quo warranto petition.
"Inherent power of the courts, not only the Supreme Court but any courts to protect itself from undue influence or paninira sa legal processes o 'yung contemptuous conduct," sabi naman ni Cayosa. Tingin ni Mawis, kakaiba ang posisyon ng ABS-CBN dahil nagbabalita ito tungkol sa kasong kinasasangkutan ng mismong kompanya.
"Di naman komo meron kayong kaso hindi naman ibig sabihin ay tatahimik ka na. As long as it is fair, it is balanced, it is truthful and without comment, you can actually report on the progress of the case," sabi ni Cayosa. Paliwanag pa ni Cayosa, sa ibang bansa nanggaling ang konsepto ng sub judice rule kung saan may miyembro ng jury na hindi abogado na kailangang protektahan mula sa impluwensiya ng media."Mga puro abogado 'yung mga huwes, alam nila 'yung batas, rules of court. So kahit bola-bolahin o may pressure... they are trained not to listen to that and focus on the evidence at hand," giit ni Cayosa.
