Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar has suspended work in the city government from March 16 to April 14 after the City Council declared the city under a state of calamity.

Aguilar said that only the health and frontline emergency personnel, as well as a skeletal workforce in the different offices in the city government, will report for work.

Those exempted from complying with the curfew were those working at night shift but not limited to hospital and health personnel such as doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers and security guards, persons providing basic necessities like food and medicines and persons providing public utilities. The identified chokepoints in the city will be located at the following areas: along C5 Road Extension in Barangay Manuyo ; along Padre Diego Cera Avenue in Barangay Manuyo; Zapote viaduct in Barangay Zapote, Canaynay Avenue in Barangay Manuyo Dos; Riverdrive in BFRV Barangay Talon Dos and Marcos Alvarez Avenue in Talon Singko.
