Lanao del Sur governor tests positive for COVID-19

– Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal ‘Bombit” Adiong, Jr. has confirmed that he has tested for the coronavirus disease .In a statement issued September 15, the 56 years old governor said that, upon learning that he was directly exposed to a COVID-19 positive recently, he immediately placed himself under the care of medical workers at the Amai Pakpak Medical Center , and underwent reverse transcription-polymerase chain react test.

Adiong said he was feeling mild symptoms, but maintained that he was “generally well and in high spirits”. “When the pandemic started, we strictly abided by the minimum health standards set by the Department of Health , the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Ministry of Health, and the World Health Organization in all our public engagements,” Adiong said.
