COLLEGE OF SAINT BENILDE marched to the V-League Women’s Collegiate Challenge finals after dispatching University of the East in straight-set fashion for the second straight time, 25-21, 25-13, 25-10, on Friday during their semifinal duel at the Paco Arena in Manila.
The Lady Blazers, who toppled the Lady Warriors, 25-22, 25-13, 25-12, in the opener of their best-of-three series last Wednesday, thus surpassed their bronze-medal finish last season although they will still have to wait a little longer for their rivals for the crown. Earlier, The Lady Tamaraws never flinched despite dropping Game One and the first set, coming out on top of a tight second set battle then blasting the Lady Altas in the next two to carve out a key four-set victory.
