Labella said he already coordinated with Police Colonel Gemma Vinluan, chief of the Cebu City Police, to finalize the festival’s security plans to ensure the safety of spectators and members of the different delegations coming from the 44 towns and cities in Cebu province.While Cebu City is independent from the provincial government being a highly urbanized city, Labella said that the city government is glad to host this year’s celebration.
“This is such a big event and the City Government will give its full support. This is the event of the Province but considering that it will be held in the city, we will assist them in whatever means we can be of help,” he said.Labella said that he assigned Councilor Dave Tumulak as focal point person of the Pasigarbo sa Sugbu security preparations.
