CEBU CITY, Philippines -- Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella urged the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) to be on the look out for the entry of marijuana into the city following the report from the Police

Labella said he was concerned by this report and would want the police to minimize the entry of marijuana into the city lest more of the city’s “older adults” might get hooked on cannabis. Labella said it would be best to stop now the proliferation of cannabis in the city since older adults who get hook on drugs would be harder to rehabilitate.

“I was informed that it is not common in our mountain barangays to plant marijuana, but we never know,” Labella said on Thursday, September 19.
