The Korean Embassy in the Philippines announced on July 13 that it will open the Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) in August that will handle visa applications. ManilaBulletin READ:

Currently, Filipinos who want to apply for a Korean visa, including a tourist visa, need to secure an appointment online.However, many have been unable to secure visa appointments as the slots immediately get filled up.

In its new notice, the Korean Embassy said it will be changing visa application policies when the KVAC opens.Opening of the Korea Visa Application Center - From August 29, 2023, online reservation will no longer be required to apply for a Korean visa. Walk-in visa applications at KVAC will be accepted on any working day. There will be no limit as to the number of visa applications accepted per day.- Online reservation slots for the month of August will open on July 27, 2023 at 09:00.- Applications with online reservation will be accepted at KVAC starting August 14 – 25.
