Ken Tuffin plans to stay in the Philippines for the foreseeable future after a three-year stint in the New Zealand National Basketball League as he is set to play for Phoenix in the PBA

MANILA, Philippines – A 6-foot-4 guard who is a deadshot from long distance like Ken Tuffin should be an asset for Gilas Pilipinas.

After a four-year run with the FEU Tamaraws in the UAAP, Tuffin opted to forego his final year of collegiate eligibility at the height of the coronavirus pandemic and brought his act to the semi-pro New Zealand NBL. Fortunately for Gilas Pilipinas, Tuffin never got to suit up for New Zealand as he remains eligible to represent the Philippines.“I felt like there was a lot of unfinished business, right?” said Tuffin. “I did not get to play in my last year in FEU because of the pandemic.”
