JV Ejercito: ‘ABS-CBN is better to be there to keep gov’t on its toes’

MANILA, Philippines — “Though ABS-CBN wasn’t exactly good to me or even my family, it’s better to be there to keep the government on its toes all the time.”

Former Senator JV Ejercito said this Tuesday after the Office of the Solicitor General filed a quo warranto petition which seeks to forfeit the congressional franchise of media conglomerate ABS-CBN.Ejercito said criticisms from the media would allow the government to “always try to do its best to give genuine service to its people.”

Hard to believe this came from Jv Ejercito, same man who blocks people on twitter just for criticizing him.

jvejercito With or without the abscbn the Duterte govt is doing its mandates to serve the public thru infra projects etc.The govt already have done much for the country with only four years into office. The bs aquino admin built zero infra project even when the abscbn was around

It's not the media, but an individual performance of the public servant who performs well in serving its constituents ☺️

It seems that the government is cracking down media outlets that are critical to the leaders. The recent controversy regarding ABS-CBN is something that one should expect since the President already spoke about that long before.
