Muntinlupa Representative and House National Defense and Security Panel Chair Rozzano Rufino “Ruffy” Biazon even re-tweeted a post on Twitter calling the attention of Luneta Park administrators “to do something” about the photos that went viral on social media.
Biazon cited Republic Act 8491 which declares May 28 to June 12 as National Flag Days and was surprised to see Chinese flags sold at the historic park. But Locsin, an active Twitter user, twitted “don’t fret” and reminded social media users that vendors will also sell the United States’ flag on Philippine-American Friendship Day which is celebrated every July 14.
Biazon withdrew his post citing Presidential Proclamation No. 148, s. 2002 declaring June 9 of every year as Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day released by former president and now House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
