'I know the pain that hateful language and racism causes.' Fil-Am star Jordan Clarkson helps a Pinoy food truck recover from a racist vandalism attack in Layton, Utah.

Reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson is widely known today for being a consistent energy spark off the bench for the league-leading Utah Jazz.

The 29-year-old guard, who celebrated his birthday last Monday, June 7, condemned the attack of the World Famous Yum Yum Asian Food Truck, which got sprayed on with racist, expletive-laced graffiti. The truck has since been sent to vehicle graphics designer Identity Graphx for repainting, and is set for a June 12 reopening, coinciding with the celebration of Philippine Independence Day.While the food truck owners have been selling Filipino cuisine in Utah fairs and markets for the last 10 years according to their website, they only managed to get their mobile eatery project on the road last year.

Just a few days ago also in Utah, the family of Memphis Grizzlies rising star Ja Morant was harassed by racist Jazz fans who watched the Jazz-Grizzlies first round series.
