Japanese Ambassador Kazuhiko Koshikawa on Thursday said the donations, which include dialysis machines and ICU beds, would be distributed to ten hospitals in the region.

“Japan grants health equipment to BARMM worth 500M yen! Dialysis machines, ICU beds, and more will go to ten hospitals in the region,” Kashikawa said on Twitter.

“These will improve quality health services and ensure chances of leading healthier, comfortable, and fulfilled lives for the people of Bangsamoro,” he said.In April, the BARMM Ministry of Health also received sea ambulances and other medical equipment from the Japanese government and the International Organization for Migration.

Likewise, Japan distributed JP¥350 million worth of Japanese rice to the region in November 2021 as part of its commitment to advance food security in BARMM.
