“My salute and thanks to my colleagues who spent the holidays in jails for recording a zero incident and a peaceful celebration to welcome the year 2020,” BJMP Chief Jail Director Allan Iral said. “I appreciate all your efforts of securing our facilities and attending to the needs of the PDL and their visitors.”
Iral also ordered wardens to strictly observe the guidelines and protocols for the PDLs’ peaceful celebration of the holiday season to ensure safety and order in their respective jurisdictions. He reminded the personnel to be more cautious and vigilant in securing the perimeters of the jails in case some of the PDL might take advantage of the noise made by nearby communities while welcoming New Year.
“We did not order your superiors to put tape on the muzzles of your firearms since we know how disciplined the jail officers are,” Iral said. “I trust everyone that you will do your part in helping the Philippine National Police and in protecting the public against indiscriminate firing the same way you are protecting your respective families from any harm.”
