‘It was a good run’: Lacson, Sotto feel ‘upbeat, successful’ as campaign ends

On Saturday morning, he and his running mate, vice presidential bet Senate President Vicente Sotto III, began their plan to tour different areas in the Calabarzon region to cap off their campaign.

“Upbeat yung feeling namin, yung sentiment and it was a good run. It was a good fight—I don’t want to call it a fight—it was a good run, it was a good campaign,” Lacson went on. “More substance and quality than quantity. More engagement to the people and sa akin, personal feeling ko, napaka self-fulfilling, ang dami naming natutunan, in the past 89 days or so,” he added.“[The] feeling is successful. Because ang intention was to change the system and offer ourselves, our expertise to the people, we did both,” he said.

Lacson and Sotto were joined by senatorial candidates former Philippine National Police chief Guillermo Eleazar and Dr. Minguita Padilla. “After my retirement, so, eto na at parang extension nga ng aking service and now, it’s the finish line so natapos na ang lahat with the support of the party of course, nung ating mga supporters,” Eleazar said.Padilla, meanwhile, highlighted the “fullfilling, educational and humbling” feeling that came with her first political campaign.and like Lacson, I’m upbeat and I’m fulfilled,” she added.
