There was no red carpet at the 47th Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal held at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura, Taguig City on Dec. 27.

But the showbiz industry celebrated the reopening of Philippine theaters after more than years of the pandemic. The celebration was somewhat austere and reserved.
