Overnight demonstrators break through law enforcement barriers to overtake the Minneapolis police station where the 4 officers blamed for George Floyd's death are based.

"People are angry they are frustrated because this is not the first police killing they have seen around the country," Al Sharpton, a prominent black rights activist, told MSNBC."These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won't let that happen," Trump tweeted.

"Our troops are trained to protect life, preserve property and ensure people's right to peacefully demonstrate," said Major General Jon Jensen of the Minnesota National Guard.Protests broke out in several cities across the country, including New York, where dozens of protestors were arrested; Phoenix, Memphis, and Denver.

Police urged protestors to"please choose peace," posting a video message from a member of Taylor's family asking those in the streets to"go home and be safe and be ready to keep fighting." Floyd's family demanded the officer be arrested for murder, but local and federal law enforcement officials said Thursday they still needed to investigate the case thoroughly.

Only 1,000 Filipino medical workers sent abroad amid deployment ban - DOLEOnly around 1,000 Filipino healthcare workers were deployed abroad amid the controversial order banning medical workers from working in other countries, the Department of Labor and Employment said Friday. Our families are also in need. We have to support them after much money spent just to keep our applications. This is our dream and I hope this won't be taken away from us. 😔 The reason why Filipino healthcare workers prefer to work outside the country is because of the low wage we get from working here! If teachers and police forces can get a wage increase, so why can't healthcare workers get theirs too? They don't know what we had to go through para lang makapag apply sa ibang bansa . Yung effort mo sa pagrereview , yung gastos mo , yung pinila mo sa prc para lang makumpleto yung requirements 😔😔😡 yung mga tusok mo for medical exams ! SecretaryBebot LiftTheHCWDeploymentBan
